The comparison of Mercedes and Tesla is Autopilot and not FSD !
That's a problem on it's own. Why would you use Autopilot when FSD exists?
OK, if you want free, or don't live in North America. Btw. Mercedes's system isn't free either, so that argument is out too. At this point FSD subscription is much cheaper too.
Keep in mind that the report comparison was against Tesla with AUTOPILOT.... and the video was with FSD. Apples and oranges.
Why CR used Tesla autopilot to compare?it supposed to compare the best assistant system from Mercedes to the best assistant system of Tesla ( which is FSD). CR comparison made the impression to readers that Mercedes is superior to Tesla in terms of autonomous driving

Well analysed as always. I've seen a lot of newbies enquire as to whether or not it is too late to buy assets especially BTC, ETH, litecoin and maybe XRP...most having the intention to hodl these assets. I would say we should prep for all scenarios as the market has always been unpredictable. So boring that new type of analyses are coming out monthly from all analysts and youtubers. I must say trading offers far more benefits than just holding, I will advise traders esp newbies to have orientation of trading before they get involved in it. I stopped trusting those reports a long time ago. We were crossing the alps by bike (with a 11kg rucksack) and I bought the best saddle from a test in a bike magazine. During training it was ok.
On the 3rd day I was about to cancel our tour, because I was in so much bum-pain.
We went to the local bike dealer and I bought a 30€ gel saddle instead. What a pleasure to sit on 😂

I thought landed cost just referred to the final cost of accepting an import. Interesting. Jeff knows his stuff. Plus, the concept of utilization is a good reason for Tesla to dynamically price...that is likely a bigger reason than a, "demand problem."

I charged at a 12-station V3 charger yesterday. Each of the chargers had spider webs all over the chargers, indicating none of them had been used recently.
Some spiders build every morning.

How are the Fremont MYs different from those made in Texas?
Fremont not quite as well built but iirc they get the longer range batteries…
Fremont uses only rear gigacastings, while Texas uses front and rear plus structural battery pack. And for a short period they got the 4680 cells to, but that's now going into the Cybertruck.

You should ask Tesla. My guess is that it depends on logistics, so the closer you are to Austin the more likely you are getting one from there.
The impact on those fired to then turn around and hire them back must have been hard.

When I clicked on my credit rating ,the interest rate jumped up to more than 6%.
i remember netflix splitting off streaming as well. the stock dropped from $300 to below $50. that is when i bought. Icahn also loaded up thanks to his son and would have made $20bln+ if he had held the stock.

To think that many Mercedes (or other manufacturers) cars using "assisted driving" technology are going down the road and risking collision with anything along the way is just scary. It's a risk I'm not comfortable with. Only until the technology is 100 per cent foolproof will I accept it. Besides, it's taking away many years of skill-building.
Now imagine after the new incentive from Washington state with additional incentives they added today 7500+ 9000 usd reduction total 16.5k usd reduction from original price and now add to this 0.99%!!!
For the residents there, how would they apply for the incentives?

the automated driving example is ridiculous. consumer reports used autopilot, whole mars uses fsd. mercedes only works on a limited selection of roads - this route doesn't look like it would qualify. I'm not a big fan of consumer reports for their ev evaluations but this is a terrible comparison

That's great, however the greatest financial hit is the depreciation - unless Tesla can offer guaranteed buy back price with then warranty / reconditioned for the 2nd owner & affordable insurance - Tesla ownership & repeat repurchase will be just too expensive for the majority.
Tesla’s lead is insurmountable. If the nearest competitor is 5 years back their system will always be at best 5 years less safe. Even a minuscule difference is enough for Tesla to own the market. The safest solution will win it all.

The Mercedes system looks like old Tesla FSD before V12. That kind of system is almost impossible to scale. Tesla is out in front and picking up speed FAST.

Netflix is not doing that great- they are not tied to a network, movie studio or some huge business. There debt is huge and they keep taking on more debt year after year to acquire or produce content, and are not able to pay it down.
Tesla Software business should break away from Tesla then license their software to all vehicle manufacturers including Tesla, then diversify into many other areas along with their AI developments.

Musk can come out and say we are going to spend $x million on supercharging however it doesn’t go into detail how they are going to do it. They would have to rehire so many more people to get this done. It is not like Optimus is read to replace the supercharger team (yet). The real proof is in the next 6 - 12 months in how many chargers will open and the growth of this compared to what was previous. Rehiring is proof that Elon made a mistake in relation to the supercharging team.

It really has become a black eye for Germany. I used to hold German people in very high regard in terms of conscientiousness, industriousness, and efficiency. Mercedes is 5 years and growing behind. It isn't clear will reach the exponential rate of improvement that Tesla has arrived at. Mercedes will likely give up.
I don't think MB is 5-10+ years behind Tesla. If you have a solution that will never fully work, then you are permanently behind. IMHO The MB tech is so crappy, I would just want a simpler ADAS system than that...seems more stress than it's good for. 40mph max., lol.

Interest rate promo will not move the needle. EV demand is low because the early adopters are done adopting. The next conversion population need education vis-a-vis advertising and PR. We know how great these cars are but nobody else does!
No, it's low because people are not buying cars, and especially expensive ones. And outside of America EVs are long past the early adopter phase. In Norway, for example, almost all new cars are electric.
